The Enterprise Centre demonstrates how timber can be used in innovative ways to create a new and alternative building aesthetic in a commercial setting.

The building uses a variety of timbers, most of which are locally sourced. The studwork was produced from local Corsican pine sourced 30 miles away from the Thetford forest. The timbers from here have only previously been used as a secondary timber product such as woodchip and fencing. The glulam frame for the building was a product of central Europe; however, the glulam columns used to hold up the entrance canopy were made from UK larch sourced from nearby Suffolk. Examples like this improve the image and confidence of UK timber.
