Ogden Water - Tree Planting Goals

sfeather5334

Following on from the tree planting day at Ogden Water, The Forest of Bradford volunteers explained the wider goal of increasing tree cover within this area. The aim was to create a green corridor to help support wildlife. By connecting up small areas of woodland with each other, whether it be a line of trees along a farmers field or a large plot of land with thousands of trees it can allow small mammals and insects alike to find food within the area of their territory.

The map above has outlined the areas of woodland that this particular project is aiming to connect.
